Vibrio coralliilyticus

Vibrio coralliilyticus is a Gram-negative, rod-shaped bacterium. It is a temperature-dependent pathogen (causing tissue lysis) of the coral Pocillopora damicornis, hence its name. Its type strain is YB1T (=ATCC BAA-450T =LMG 20984T).
