Language delay

Not to be confused with Speech delay Not to be confused with Speech delay Language delay is one of the language disorders in which the child fails to develop language abilities on the usual age-appropriate for their developmental timetable. It is most common during the ages of 2 to 7 years and can sometimes continue into late childhood. Language delay is distinct from speech delay, in which the development of the mechanical and motor aspects of speech production is delayed.
