Sapsucker

The sapsuckers are four species of North American woodpeckers in the genus Sphyrapicus. There are four currently recognized species in the genus: The genus name Sphyrapicus is a combination of the Greek words sphura, meaning 'hammer' and pikos, meaning 'woodpecker'.
