Tydeidae

Tydeidae is a family of acariform mites. These are generally small mites with muted colours. The body is soft, often with complex striated or reticulated patterns. Some species have two or three eyes although many are completely eyeless. These mites live in a wide range of habitats and there are predatory, fungivorous and scavenging species.
