Canadian content

The loss of the protective Canadian content quota requirements is one of the concerns of those opposed to the Trans-Pacific Partnership. Canada entered into the Trans-Pacific Partnership, a multilateral free trade agreement, in October 2012. The CRTC, originally established in 1968, is charged with enforcing the Broadcasting Act of Canada. The Broadcast Act declares:
