Observational evidence for a high velocity cloud collision

H I observations of an area of ∼ 40 □° comprising clouds at low, intermediate, and high velocities are presented. The low velocity cloud LVC 127 exhibits emission in several components at velocities between −17 km/s and +7 km/s. Features in position-velocity space with high velocity gradients emerge from LVC 127 and reach velocities of down to −100 km/s. The high velocity cloud belongs to the Chain A complex. It exhibits a core-envelope and head-tail structure, indicating an interaction with the surrounding medium. The intermediate velocity cloud is juxtaposed to the high velocity cloud. A position-velocity map not only shows the juxtaposition but also indicates connections between these clouds at velocities in between
