Optimal production planning model of a fertilizer company

Abstract The paper addresses LP(Linear Programming) modeling application of optimal production planning of real company's complex process that would be MINLP(Mixed Integer Non Linear Programming) formulation. The main goal is to show that mathematical modeling on a real industry application can successfully solve the real problem and is even better than heuristic rules due to guarantee its optimality in spite of its demerits and limitations. To simplify the model and reduce its size, appropriate assumption techniques are used without effecting the optimal solution change. The proposed LP model has been verified on the fertilizer company and used other analysis of change of conditions.
