Review on Challenges of Secure Data Analytics in Edge Computing

2021
Internet of Things (IoT) is picking up expanding prevalence. Overpowering quantities of information are created by IoT Devices. The information following analysis give huge data that could extraordinarily profit IoT applications. Unique in relation to conventional applications, IoT Applications, for example, smart healthcare, wearable devices, environment monitoring, and navigation accompany new prerequisites, for example, mobility, constant reaction, and location consciousness. Nonetheless, customary Cloud Computing cannot satisfy these requests because of being distant from IoT devices. Henceforth, Edge Computing came into existence in which data is processed in the edge of network which exists nearer to information sources than distributed computing, accordingly productive and location conscious. Edge computing creates fresh security and privacy challenges while used for data analysis. This paper analyses the security threats to edge computing during data analytics. We initially present the idea of edge computing and discuss various threats for its secure data analytics. We propose solutions for secure data analytics during three phases of analytics: Data collection, data processing and data storage.
