This work briefly describes the problem of the evolution of human motor activity in the perspective of Homo genus development. In the course of the species evolution, events took place that led to the limitation of motor activity, leading in turn to the phenomenon of akinesia in humans. The modern representative of the species Homo sapiens lives in a static way, without being forced to exercise, which for centuries has been natural for most evolving species. The progressing process of akinesia in man seems to signal the decline of civilization.
