Perilaku Persarangan Burung Nuri Pipi-Merah (Geoffroyus geoffroyi Bechstein, 1811)

Behaviour on the nest building was observed on a pair of Red-cheeked Parrot had been made in Boki Mekot, Central Halmahera, North Maluku. One and half-our observation noted that the female played important role on the making of cavity or nest hole. Nest-hole was primarily excavated by female while male individual apparently acted as a sentinel to guard the female. Dead tree or snag was used to build a nest hole. It was approximately 8 m tall and 40 cm in circumference. It is located about 3 m from the road. The hole position was at the 2 m from the top. Fauna Indonesia, Vol.13, No. 1. Hal. 39-44
