Multi-layer balloon attached to catheter for medical use and manufacture and using method therefor

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain two functions of the extension of a body conductor and the carriage and transplantation of a stent by making a balloon correspond during the initial expansion stage of the balloon for an initial expansion range and during the second expansion stage of the balloon for a second expansion range. SOLUTION: In this multi-layer balloon attached to a catheter for medical use, the inner layer 28 is formed from a plastic material provided with high tensile strength and low initial elongation and an outer layer is formed from the plastic material provided with wear resistance and elongation larger than the inner layer 28. Then, a balloon element 16 is featured by compliance characteristics plotted by a continuos nonlinear compliance curve and the compliance curve is provided with a followup extension initial expansion range, a transition point and a non-followup extension second expansion range. Also, the balloon element 16 corresponds during the initial expansion stage of the balloon element 16 for the initial expansion range and the balloon element 16 corresponds during the second expansion stage of the balloon element 16 for the second expansion range.
