Effect of different substrates on cutting seedlings of four clones of Taxodium mucronatum hybrids

2013
Effect of mixed-substrate(V(peat soil) ∶ V(perlite) ∶ V(sandy loam)=3 ∶ 3 ∶ 1) and sandy loam on rooting and growth of cutting seedlings of Taxodium mucronatum Tenore hybrid clones including 'Zhongshanshan 405','Zhongshanshan 406','Zhongshanshan 407' and 'Zhongshanshan 502' were studied. The results show that rooting and growth indexes of cutting seedlings of above four clones on mixed-substrate are generally significantly or extremely significantly higher than those on sandy loam, root lignified degree is higher, and rooting position is 1-3 cm on basal portion of cuttings. It means that mixed-substrate is suitable for cutting propagation of T.mucronatum hybrid clones.
