Graphene-based narrow band-pass frequency selective surface

A novel graphene-based narrow band-pass frequency selective surface is proposed. This unit mainly includes two layers of square patches and a layer of complementary cross structure. The full wave simulations show that the unit attains a high transmission amplitude with the bandwidth of 100MHz in X-band, resulting in an extremely narrow passband. In addition, the performance is verified by the equivalent circuit theory. The narrow-band characteristics of this unit is advantageous for RF filtering applications.
