Programa de formación pedagógica para docentes universitarios

2021
The competency education model represents a change in the educational paradigm at the university level, leaving aside traditional teaching methodologies in which the teacher was the center of the educational process. There is a trend towards the use of active teaching methodologies whose main characteristic is to place the student as the protagonist of their learning. The aim of this study was to design, apply and analyze a pedagogical training program with university teachers that included active methodologies and was developed in the context of the degree in Physical Education in the Autonomous University of Chihuahua, Mexico. We started from the socio-critical paradigm, with a qualitative approach combining the methodologies of case study and action research; two undergraduate teachers from a public university participated, 14 students in the diagnostic stage and 6 in the teaching intervention. The data collection, the techniques of interview and non-participatory observation of the class sessions were used. The results showed that the teacher training program favored the acquisition of skills in the use of the flipped classroom, specifically, teachers were reflective and self-critical of their performance. It was concluded that teacher training programs in pedagogy must include innovative teaching methodologies and must be continuous.
