PUFF-Gaussian 확산 모형을 이용한 백두산 화산재 발생 퇴적 확률 추정

2020
Domestic and international damages caused by natural disasters such as typhoons, floods, volcanoes, earthquakes, and tsunamis continue to occur. Particularly, in recent years, the diffusion of particulate contaminants such as fine dust is accelerating, and the demand for prediction and response technology for particulate matter diffusion is increasing. In order to respond to such disasters related to particulate matter, studies are being conducted to predict the diffusion path and concentration of particulate matter using a numerical model. In this study, prediction of the diffusion of volcanic ash, which is one of the particulate matters, was performed using the PUFF-Gaussian model developed by improving the PUFF-UAF model, which is one of the Lagrangian models. Using the PUFFGaussian model, compared the observation results of the Ontake volcano and verified that similar results were derived, and a volcanic ash diffusion simulation for the eruption of Mt. Baekdu was performed. In addition, for 17 cities/provinces in Korea, a comparison was made between the probability of occurrence of volcanic ash calculated using the results of the PUFF-UAF model and the probability of occurrence calculated using PUFF-Gaussian.
