Calibration of the aberdeen NMR imager for proton spin-lattice relaxation time measurements in vivo

A model of the behaviour of proton spin magnetisation under the author's imaging pulse sequence is presented and its predictions compared with measurements on aqueous CuSO4 and MnCl2 solutions. This model is compared with a simple algorithm described and an efficient method for the calculation of spin-lattice relaxation time proposed.
