SOLUTION: This mirror adjusting device has one or a plurality of cameras, and photographs a driver on a driver's seat. The mirror adjusting device extracts characteristic points of the driver from the image output of the camera, and finds the position of the face turn to the front of the driver based on the extracted characteristic points of the face and the direction of the face. The optimum angle of the mirror is found based on the obtained position of the face, and the mirror is adjusted to the optimum angle. Since the mirror adjusting device judges the position of the face of the driver and the mirror is adjusted to the optimum angle according to the position of the face, work for adjusting the angle of the mirror by the driver can be eliminated.
