Remote insect automatic recognition based on image

Client ends and service ends were established based on client/server framework.User could input insect images and transfer the images to server through client ends.Insect image database was established at service ends.Then moment invariant algorithm was used to extract texture features of images in the database,and the similarity between the features was calculated to obtain recognition results which were fed back to user through internet.The experimental results showed that precision rate of insect recognition was 70%.
