Ecosystem Status and Change Assessment of Agro-Pastoral Ecotone of North China in 2000-2010

2014
Agro-pastoral ecotone of North China is the ecosystem transition zone and ecological security barrier tape in China.Ecosystem in this zone is vulnerable, which has obvious instability and sensitivity. In this paper, authors analyzed the ecological characteristics of agro-pastoral ecotone, and constructed an eco-evaluation system reflecting regional ecological productivity, functional support force, limiting factors and co-factors forcing. By using multi-source remote sensing data, land ecological data, environmental data, weather data et al,the authors analyzed the ecological quality status and trends of this zone in 2000- 2010.According to the result of Linear regression and K-means cluster analysis, study showed that the ecosystem quality of the region was mainly in"general",the trend of ecosystem appeared"steady changed for the better",the area of "good"and"general"increased in recent decade。The ecosystem fuction of 16 counties and ecological productivity of 18 counties were improved in recent decade. The moisture conditions and environmental load were major constraints and stress factors in agro-pastoral ecotone and there is significant ecological risk in local areas.
