TeleEnergy plants-in the perspective of quality

1992
The concept of quality, when applied to telecommunications energy plants, has been limited to reliability, ruggedness against power disturbances, endurance and technical lifetime. The author proposes customer satisfaction and 'value for money' from the end user's point of view as the main quality criteria for energy systems. As an attempt to interpret these criteria in more concrete terms, a total cost model for the energy systems is presented, as well as implementation methods, so that more value is obtained for less money. TE2000, a project based on the total cost model, undertaken by Swedish Telecom Network Services is described. >
