The Influence of the Middle Route Project for South-to-North Water Transfer on the Environment and the Development of Ecological Economy of Henan

The Middle Route Project for South-to-North Water Transfer is a strategic measure to solve the water-lacking problem as resource in the north of China.It is also a focus project concerning our country's economic layout.This paper summarizes the construction conditions of the middle route project and its significance and exerts a comprehensive appraisal and analysis of the main water resource areas as well as the ecological environment of Henan province and its developing conditions in society and economy of this water-accepting area.On this basis,the paper,by means of ecological economics,brings out the counter measures of the economic development of Henan's ecology based on sustainable development.
