A COMPREHENSIVE REVIEW OF MOTORCYCLE SAFETY SITUATION IN ASIAN COUNTRIES

Motorcycles have caused a considerable number of road accidents in most Asian countries’ roadnetworks. This indicates that motorcyclists are among the most vulnerable road users throughout thesenetworks. For the sake of better motorcycle safety in Asia, this paper provides an overview of the onroadmotorcycle usage pattern, the reality of safety situation, and the challenges to identify the neededactions to improve safety in these countries.
