Properties of large SiPM at room temperature

Abstract We present in this paper the comparison of methods to measure parameters to characterize a large SiPM of area of about 1 cm 2 . We also explain the challenges of operating it with continuous light and at room temperature. We present a method to compensate for the voltage drop induced by emission to continuous illumination in order to control its response stability. This is important for applications where illumination changes with time, such as when they are employed in cameras of gamma-ray telescopes.
