The invention relates to the field of control of static synchronous compensators, discloses a control method for a static synchronous compensator, which is applicable to the wind power plant, takes grid-connected point voltage of the wind power plant as a control target and simultaneously takes the reactive power level of a system into account, and particularly discloses a voltage and reactive power control method for the static synchronous compensator applicable to the wind power plant. The static synchronous compensator is arranged on a low-voltage busbar side of the wind power plant, monitors voltage US and reactive power QS of a grid-connected point system in real time, compares with the control target to select a strategy table according to different US and QS levels, and analyzes the real-time power condition and the reactive power requirements of the system according to different compensation targets, so as to determine an adjustment strategy for a passive filter branch and the static synchronous compensator.
