CV. Citra Mentari is a company engaged in printing. Currently, the company is experiencing problems with the energy consumption spent during the production process. Most of the energy consumption is expended when the engine is idle. This study proposes the Grasshopper Optimization Algorithm (GOA) with the aim of minimizing energy consumption in the case of flow shop scheduling (PFSSP). This study uses a large rank value (LRV) to determine the initialization of the agent's position by ranking the largest job to the smallest job. The chosen solution is generated from the iteration experiments used. The conclusion obtained is that the proposed method, namely GOA, is better than the company's method, namely first come first serve (FCFS)
