Partial charge transfer and charge density wave modulation in the TTF‐TCNQ family of quasi one‐dimensional organic materials

The role of diffraction studies in understanding the structural and physical properties of quasi one‐dimensional orgnaic materials is examined. Particular attention is focused on the basic structural motifs found in such systems, the degree of charge transfer, and the physical manifestation and observation of charge density waves in these materials.
