ANALYSIS OF IMPLEMENTATION OF POLICY FOR CONTROLLING DENGUE FEVER IN WEST MANGGARAI REGENCY, EAST NUSA TENGGARA, 2021

2021
Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever is an infectious disease that is a public health problem and is endemic in all cities/districts in Indonesia. Since 1968 until now there has been an increase in cases and the spread of disease and the death rate is still relatively high and has the potential to become an extraordinary event. The number of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever in East Nusa Tenggara in 2009 was 4.3/10,000 population, this figure is still far above the 2010 Healthy Indonesia target of 2/10,000 population. In Semarang the number of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever in the last 15 years (1996-2009) has increased, the highest number was in 2008 with 5,249 cases, then in 2009 the number of cases was 3,883 and in 2010 the number of cases reached 4,283. The implementation of government policies in controlling dengue fever is considered to be still slow so that the morbidity rate of dengue hemorrhagic fever in West Manggarai Regency is still high, thereby decreasing the level of public health.
