Surgical Management of Entropion in Dogs

2016
Four dogs were presented with history of epiphora, mild to moderate conjunctival hyperemia, blepharospasm and scratching of eyes. Clinico-ophthalmic examination revealed dorsal or ventral inward rolling of lower eyelids at lateral side in four eyes of three dogs whereas bilateral rolling on dorsal aspect of upper eyelid near to lateral canthus with purulent discharge was observed in one dog. Fluorescein staining was negative in all dogs. Four eyes with dorsal and ventral entropion were surgically managed by Hotz-Celsus technique and two eyes of lateral entropion by arrow head resection technique. All dogs recovered uneventfully.
