Roderick William Somerville Brooks

Roderick William Somerville Brooks was born in the West Country and qualified from Bristol University in 1976. During his training he worked with Geoffrey Burston, who instilled him that older people often have the ability to improve from awful illness, that they always have an interesting story to tell because they have been around on the planet long enough, and that working within a multidisciplinary team even the most stubborn “sow’s ear” can be turned into at least a serviceable “silk purse.” He had a lifelong involvement with Forest School Camps, an educational charity that takes children light weight camping.
