Production derivatives of substituted thiazolizinedione and pharmaceutical composition containing the same

1996
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new compound manifesting hypoglycemic activity useful for treatment and prevention of hyperglycemia. SOLUTION: This compound is expressed in formula I (A 1 is an aromatic heterocyclic ring; R 1 is H, a 1-12C alkyl, an acyl, etc.; R 2 and R 3 are each H or R 2 joins R 3 in forming a bond; A 2 is a substituted benzene ring; n is 2-6), for example, 5-(4-[2-(N-methyl-N-(2-benzothiazolyl)amino)-ethyoxy]benzyl)-2,4- thiazolizinedione. The compound of formula I is obtained by carrying out the reaction of the compound of formula II (R a is expressed in formula III) and a proper reagent capably transforming R a into the group of formula III (for example, the compound expressed in the formula A 1 -R x ; R x is a leaving group), in a solvent such as THF, etc., at 0-60°C. The applying dose of the compound of formula I is 0.1-6,000mg preferably 1-1,500mg for a day for adult of 70kg weight. COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
