Design of An Improved Radially Single-Mode and Azimuthally Multimode Ring-Core Fiber for Mode-Division Multiplexing Systems

We report the design of a radially single-mode and azimuthally multimode ring-core fiber, according to the design criteria of weakly-coupled few-mode fibers in [1]. The influences of index profiles on its propagation-characteristics are numerically analyzed.
