IDENTIFICATION OF TRANSFERABLE CHARACTERISTICS OF CAR TYRE--ELASTIC SUSPENSION SUBSYSTEM

1988
Experimental testing of the car tyre-suspension subsystem in its normal operating conditions presents a complex measurement problem. In order to identify the dynamic characteristics it is necessary to test road characteristics, wheel motion and car body motion simultaneously. This article presents the method for system identification using impulse test signal. Computer simulation has been used as an analytical subsystem model in order to define an identification model. For the presentation of the experimental results and evaluation of the subsystem, the impulse function, autospectrum of the response as a conditional transfer function and partial transfer function of the wheel -vehicle body motion have been used.
