On operators which leave invariant a half-space

The purpose of this talk is to give a geometric characterization of those linear continuous operators A:D(A) E→E (D(A) dense in E), where E is a real locally convex topological vector space, whose adjoint A*:D(A*) E*→E* (E* the dual space of E) has a nonnegative real eigenvalue.
