The invention relates to the reliability of a device comprising a plurality of first blocks (A (i, j)) of electronic components organized in a matrix and connected by links to lines of the bus (L_ix, Vdd) and columns (C_jx, Vss) from the matrix allowing the supply and the control of each of the first blocks (A (i, j)) for its nominal operation. According to the invention, the device further comprises, associated with each first blocks (A (i, j)), programmable means (M (i, j)) of disconnection of the first block (A (i, j)) by relative to at least one of the buses. The invention also relates to the location of a fault in a device according to the invention, the fault occurring on one of the first blocks (A (i, j)) and causing a general failure on a plurality of first blocks (A (i, j )).
