Electronic peak lightning current detector

The aim of this paper is to present an electronic peak lightning current detector to be installed on a tall tower, similar to that of telecommunication. This detector is basically composed of a self-integrating Rogowski coil connected to a peak voltage detector and a microcontroller. This detector was tested and has presented an error lower than 3% in peak impulse current detection compared to reference systems.
