Key Factors of Thermal Resistance Test for Power VDMOS

Thermal resistance is an important parameter of evaluating for power VDMOS,but in the procedure of thermal resistance test,there are lots of factors to influence the result directly,such as test current,delay time and the case temperature control.Therefore various factors should be understood and analyzed.In order to obtain a better test precision and repetition,the test equipment should be managed smartly based on the relative standards.According to the thermal resistance test procedure,the factors which influence the test result were discussed and the correction methods were proposed,then pertinent tests were designed to verify the results.After it is validated,a precision of steady state thermal resistance can be measured by the test method,it will provide a reference for power VDMOS thermal resistance testing standards.
