Neoliberalism and Organized Labor

As mentioned in Chapter 2, the main factors accounting for union decline have been classified within the cyclical, structural and political-institutional approaches. In this chapter, neoliberalism and democratization are analyzed as significant dynamics that shape the economic and political contexts but also considering their collateral effects on the factors just mentioned.
