Alpha transfer to 4p-4h states in 40Ca

Abstract Results of the 36 Ar( 6 Li, d) 40 Ca reaction indicate that the band based on the 3.35 MeV 0 + state is dominantly 4p-4h in character. The 6 + member of this band is suggested to lie at 6.93 MeV.
