A RESEARCH FOR CARRAGE AND UTILITY WITH NAUTICAL INSTRUMENTS

1987
Developments in materials and engineering have led to merchant ships being equipped with an increasing number of nautical instruments. In 1985-86, the Marine Technical College in Ashiya, Japan conducted a questionnaire survey of young deck officers to determine the frequency of use, reliability and regulation requirements of onboard nautical instruments. A statistical analysis of the results is presented.
