Computer Control of Mixture Ratio for Diesel/Alcohol Dual-Fuel Engine

A computer control system of mixture ratio for diesel/alcohol dual-fuel engine is presented in this paper. Based on Labview, the order injection system for alcohol inlet is mainly studied. As a result, the mixture of air,diesel and alcohol are burned with the optimal ratio under various operation conditions. Test results show that the energy consumption and smoke density of engine are respectively decreased 15 percent and 80 percent, the improvement of engine's thermal efficiency and power performance are remarkable.
