Theory and Applications of Advanced Robots

Abstract Recent results of theory and applications of advanced robots for critical work which have been researched and developed in the large-scale national research and development project for advanced robots are mentioned. Moreover, the applications of AI and Fuzzy set theory to advanced robots, that of advanced robots to manufacturing systems and the social and cultural effects by introducing robots into Japanese industry are discussed.
