Language performance among pre-schoolers

The study was conducted on a sample of 30 children randomly drawn from two schools having pre-nursery programme in the age group of 3 1/2 years ± 2 months. Reynell language development scale (1985) was used to study the language development. The results revealed that about 77 per cent of children lacked behind in verbal comprehension aspect of language development, whereas 33 per cent got raw score above the standards of their age.
