Metaphoric Use of Auxiliary「の」

Case relations between syntactic parts and words in Japanese can be represented by auxiliaries metaphorically.「の」functions not only as various auxiliaries metaphorically but also as semi-verb,verb and noun.Different functions are realized through syntactic relations and context.The paper illustrates the substitutive uses of「の」in terms of overt and covert forms.
