Burnout syndrome, understood as a psychosocial phenomenon, deserves a great deal of attention from health professionals, especially professionals dealing with emergency situations, such as firefighters, for example, who are more susceptible to compromising their well-being being, in particular because they are routinely in touch with traumatic events. It aims to analyze and describe how nurses enter mental health in a way that engages them, namely, and identifies a professional with Burnout syndrome, emphasizing the perception of Burnout Syndrome among Fire Brigade Professionals. The methodology used was through a literature review on the subject, using theoretical material through books, online sites, book collections, periodicals and articles in virtual libraries. Syndrome comes as a response to the state of emotional tension and stress brought about by exhausting working conditions and reflects the enormous challenge of working life. The literature reveals that the factors that lead the firefighters who act in constant emergencies to trigger Burnout syndrome are not only related to the personal characteristics but also to the characteristics originating from the organization or institution of work. It is concluded that Burnout Syndrome is highly complex and that the in-depth knowledge about it is an important tool in providing the necessary care, which can provide support for the development of coping tactics as a means of promoting the occupational health of these improvement of quality of life and care.
