Efecto de formulaciones de ácido oleico y quitosano sobre el desarrollo in vitro de Clavibacter michiganensis

2019
Clavibacter michiganensis subsp. michiganensis , causes significant economic losses in the cultivation of Solanaceae, because when infected, the crop must be discarded. The objective of this study was to evaluate formulations of oleic acid and chitosan on the in vitro development of C. michiganensis subsp. michiganensis . The bacterium was isolated in NBY medium. Aqueous formulations of oleic acid (1, 2 and 3%) and 1% chitosan were prepared. The techniques used to evaluate the bactericidal effect of the formulations were wells, disk-plate antibiogram and medium poisoning, in the latter case, previous and after incubation of the bacteria. Growth (cm) and weight (g) were evaluated. The incubation temperature was 28 °C for 8 days. The results showed that in the technique of poisoning the medium, prior to seeding the microorganism, the solution of chitosan and 3% oleic acid controlled the development of C. michiganensis (0.02g) when compared to the control (0.35 g). Oleic acid and chitosan when applied in a preventive manner, decreased the development of C. michiganensis subsp. michiganensis in vitro .
