Characteristics ofPower SeriesType Wavelet Transform forOnlineFrequency Estimation

A newapproach toestimate thepowersystem frequency andsignal components using wavelet transform is proposed inthis paper. Thewavelet function isexpressed by thepowerseries andisabletobeperformed bythez- transform, whichcanshorten theestimating timeofthe signal frequency comparedwiththegeneral convolution integral. Thefundamental frequency (60Hz) ortheharmon- icsfrequency (300Hz) ofthesignal isquickly estimated and components ofsignal areextracted bytheproposed method. Theonline estimation bytheproposed methodissuccess- fully achieved intheexperiment using theDSPsystem. And thecharacteristics oftheestimation methodbytheparame- terchanges areconfirmed.
