A process for preparing a 3D-CAD model, using the 3D CAD model, computer program product and system for NC machining

A process for producing a 3D CAD model of a component comprising the steps of: acquiring geometrical data of a blank workpiece (8), and modifying a an original component geometry having source CAD model (9) to the desired 3D CAD model with a modified component geometry, are used for modifying the geometric data of the blank workpiece (8). The 3D CAD model produced by the method can be used as part of a component or remanufacturing a revision of a component used for a CAM machining or a machining additive. In addition, use of a simulation, in particular a flow simulation or load simulation is possible. Furthermore, a computer program product with suitable for carrying out the steps of the method according to the invention program code means are proposed, as well as a system for NC machining with at least one NC-controlled machine tool, which is characterized by such a computer program product.
