Supercritical extraction of main components in cinnamon

The supercritical CO2 extracted essential oil. The effects of extraction pressure,extraction temperature,granularity and concentration of entrainer( ethanol) on the extraction were investigated. The result showed that the optimal extracting conditions were as follows: extraction pressure 10 MPa,extraction temperature 50 ℃,cinnamon powder particle size 60 mesh and the concentration of entrainer( ethanol)90%. Under this condition,the yield of cinnamon essential oils was up to 17. 48%.
