The method comprises: a terminal device determining one communication path for a V2X service, wherein the one communication path is selected from at least two communication paths, the at least two communication paths comprise a first communication path and a second communication path, the first communication path is a communication path for communication via a PC5 interface, and the second communication path is a communication path for communication via a Un interface; and the terminal device sending a message of the V2X service via the one communication path. By means of the solution, one communication path can be selected from at least two communication paths to send a message of a V2X service, thereby flexibly selecting the communication path for the V2X service.
