National emission inventory system in Slovakia

Results of a project, supported by the EU Phare program are presented. Aim of the project was to provide national authorities with a tool, supporting the collection of a comprehensive set of data on emission sources, making them directly accessible to organisations and institutions responsible for air pollution monitoring, reporting and abatement. The harmonised system, developed within the project, shall provide the basis for data collection and calculation of emission fees at the local offices, as well as to provide all necessary information to the authorised central institutions in the Slovak Republic. Further, the unified system has been harmonised with current Slovak legislation, bringing it into accordance with recent acts, decrees and other regulations. The link to the international emission inventory/reporting system is also secured.
